Stopping HB Direct Snap

Stop pulling your hair out trying to stop the HB Direct and follow these steps. Before you pick a play, adjust your safeties to be "Close" depth and "Pinch" their alignment. Now to the formation "Nickel Wide" and pick your preferred coverage. Nickel Wide will help us align our edge players to the outside to get better run fits on any immediate cuts to the outside. Spread the Dline and crash down. This will help you collapse the running lanes up the middle while maintaining optimal outside alignment. Now you want to "Show Blitz" your LBs to bring them closer to the line of scrimmage and "play games" with the OLs blocking assignments. Finally, user the LB on the side of the running back and walk him down into the line of scrimmage between the Guard and Tackle. This will allow you to shoot gaps wherever the offensive player tries to go.

Set Safeties to "Pinch" and "Close"

Pick a play out of Nickel Wide

Spread the Dline by pressing left and then up on the D Pad

Slant Dline inside by pressing left on D Pad and flick down with the right analog stick

Show Blitz with LBs: Press "Right" on the D Pad. Then press "RB". This will only make the LBs "Show Blitz"

User the LB on the same side of the RB and hover between Guard and Tackle

Shoot the gap and stop the run!
